BACKGROUND OF U-GROW ADVENTURES

U-Grow Adventures, Inc. is a non profit organization specializing in character education programs for children and youth.  For the past four years we have served children and youth in Williamson, Davidson, and Cheatum County.  Our programs include large group presentations to schools, summer care programs, and after-school care facilities on the values of kindness, trust, respect, and responsibility.  Trained Labrador Retrievers performing a routine of tricks help to make the this presentation fun for the children. U-Grow Adventures also has day camp and overnight camp in the summer at Camp U-Grow north of Franklin.  Character education programs are also offered as part of the school curriculum for children with special needs. After-school and Saturday groups also meet at Camp U-Grow to learn about caring for farm animals and character education topics.

Two years ago U-Grow Adventures purchased "VERTICAL FUN", a 24 foot portable climbing wall.  It features a realistic climbing surface designed with 3 climbing routes to challenge the beginner to advanced climber.  It utilizes a proven "Auto-Belay" device that gives unprecedented safety to the climbers.  Three people may climb at one time allowing approximately 60 youth to climb in 1 hour. The weight range for climbers is 30 lbs.to 275 lbs.

"VERTICAL FUN" AS A FUND-RAISER FOR YOUR YOUTH - HOW IT WORKS

If your youth are looking for a new and fun way to help pay for their mission trip, this may be your answer. "Vertical Fun" will provide the opportunity for those donating to also have a part in spreading the gospel and helping others.

"Vertical Fun" is used in all programs of U-Grow Adventures, and starting this spring "Vertical Fun" can be used as a fund-raiser for your youth group to raise money for mission trips. Judy or Chad Mullin will come to your church and meet with your youth and their parents and explain how "Vertical Fun" can help your youth raise funds for your mission trip or a church staff person may explain it to the parents and youth. U-Grow Adventures feels that by involving the parents the fund-raiser will be a greater success.

Here is how the fund-raiser works. The youth in your church will collect donations from friends, family, church members, and parent's co-workers to help pay for their cost to go on the mission trip. Youth will have two weeks to collect donations.  Donations will be turned in to the youth minister or a designated church staff person. When donations are turned in, seventy-five percent of the money donated will be credited for the youth toward the cost of the mission trip.  Twenty-five per-cent will be given to U-Grow Adventures.  On a designated date decided by

U-Grow Adventures and the church's designated person, "Vertical Fun" can be brought to your church for the youth to climb or your youth may come to Camp U-Grow to climb ""Vertical Fun".  If your youth come to Camp U-Grow their is a camp-fire area where your youth can enjoy cooking hot dogs and marshmallows, fun, and fellowship.  All food and drinks will need to be provided by your group.  Firewood and sticks to cook hot dog will be provided by U-Grow Adventures.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!
